Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the 19th annual Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute from May 31 to June 13 is cancelled.


Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute


The Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute (TBSI) is a world-renowned baroque music training program in Toronto for advanced students, pre-professional, and professional musicians in instrumental and vocal baroque performance practice, led by some of the world's finest musicians in the field. This comprehensive training program includes:

  • masterclasses in solo repertoire
  • orchestra and choir rehearsals
  • chamber ensembles
  • opera scene study for singers
  • private lessons
  • lectures and workshops
  • classes in baroque dance
  • concerts by both participants and faculty
