Application Process

Application deadline: October 15, 2018
Notifications of acceptance will be sent out October 29, 2018.

Please note that TWI is only open to experienced players of period instruments only.

The application form for TWI 2019 is hosted on YAP Tracker. You will need to create a free YAP Tracker profile to complete the application (create one here). Please read the information below before submitting your application.

Note that you will need to submit the following materials on your YAP Tracker application:

  • A recent CV

  • Audition recordings (video only for strings; audio or video for lute & harpsichord). See below for exact requirements. If you are unable to upload your audition recordings right away, you will be able to submit your application without them and return to your application later to upload them.

In addition, applicants must submit a reference letter from a teacher or colleague familiar with your period playing. Reference letters must be sent directly by your referees, and must be received by Tafelmusik by October 15, 2018. Reference letters can be emailed to twi@tafelmusik.org or can be mailed (in a sealed envelope) to the Tafelmusik offices (427 Bloor Street West, Toronto ON, M5S 1X7).

[Note that applicants who attended TBSI or TWI in the last two years are not required to submit a reference letter.]

Audition repertoire:
