Opus Testing: Period Piece Open Workshop

Free admission

Sun March 26 at 7:30pm Canadian Music Centre, 20 St. Joseph Street Map
Musica Reflecta and the Canadian Music Centre collaborate with Tafelmusik on this exciting edition of Opus: Testing. Eight Ontario-based composers have written new works for baroque quartet that have been inspired by personal objects from earlier periods in their lives. The composers were able to gain new skills through dialogue and collaboration with members of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, and the creative team at Musica Reflecta. On March 26 we share the outcome of this collaboration in a casual workshop presentation, and we invite you to join us!
Quartet Members: Patricia Ahern, violin; Marco Cera, oboe; Christopher Bagan, harpsichord; Allen Whear, violoncello.
Participating Composers: Patrick Arteaga, Joshua Denenberg, Tova Kardonne, Patrick McGraw, Curtis Perry, Kristian Podlacha, Roydon Tse, Brenden Varty
Opus: Testing is an experimental safe space to try new things. We encourage musical creators to expand their professional network, and explore new territory in their writing.
