featuring a Solo Lute Performance by Lucas Harris of Tafelmusik

Sun Sept 30 1pm - 4pm Toronto Centre for the Arts Map

Lucas Harris, lutenist with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, will perform a set of exquisite lute solos from eighteenth-century Germany. Following the 20-minute performance, Lucas will lead a short question & answer session with audience members. Performance and Q&A from 3:00-3:30pm

This performance will take place at the George Weston Recital Hall (5040 Yonge Street) as part of the Toronto Centre for the Arts Open House (building open to the public from 1pm to 4pm).

Lucas Harris studied early music in Milan and Bremen and is now one of North America’s busiest lutenists. In addition to his work with Tafelmusik, he has worked with dozens of period and modern-instrument ensembles, and is a sought-after soloist, accompanist, teacher and coach. “The sweetness and patience of his playing ... was astonishing.” (Le Devoir)
