Students currently enrolled at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto receive a $150 reduction in tuition for TBSI.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance will be awarded only to participants who would otherwise not be able to participate in the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute. 
The Application for Financial Assistance must be submitted by March 1, 2020 in order to be considered. 


Tafelmusik is pleased to offer nine special scholarships for students attending the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute. All applicants who qualify for financial assistance will be automatically considered for the scholarships. 

In honour of the artistic directors:
Jeanne Lamon Scholarship: awarded to a string player
Ivars Taurins Scholarship: awarded to a vocalist
Charlotte Nediger Scholarship: awarded to a keyboard player

In honour of Tafelmusik's founders: 
Kenneth Solway Scholarship: awarded to any participant or ensemble
Susan Graves Scholarship: awarded a wind player

In memory of oboist Washington S. McClain, former member of the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra
Washington S. McClain Scholarhip: awarded a wind player

Gary Goertz Scholarhip: awarded to a lutenist or guitarist
