The Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute (TBSI) is a world-renowned training program for advanced students, pre-professional, and professional musicians in instrumental and vocal baroque performance practice, led by some of the world's finest musicians in the field. This comprehensive training program includes:

  • masterclasses in solo repertoire
  • orchestra and choir rehearsals
  • chamber ensembles
  • opera scene study for singers
  • private lessons
  • lectures and workshops
  • classes in baroque dance
  • concerts by both participants and faculty

The Institute is held at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. Please visit the pages listed in the box to the right for full details of the program.

The application deadline was March 1, 2018. If you are an experienced period player, please consider applying next year when applications reopen for the 2019 Institute.
