|Following the recommendations from acclaimed acoustician Bob Essert, whose projects include the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts and Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory, worn carpets were removed and the floors repaired to give a bloom to the sound and enhance the bass frequencies.|
|In addition, wall surfaces have been hardened with the addition of acoustic wooden slats along the orchestra level to disperse the sound and to bring out upper frequencies.||

Like an instrument that requires tuning, acoustical adjustments will be made to the space as the musicians become familiar with the new hall. Additional improvements will be included in future plans as adjustments continue to be made.
