As you may know, Tafelmusik musicians and staff often blog when we’re on tour – in fact, I was tasked with this very recently when we travelled to Versailles.
Well, now we want the blog to go full time. We’ll shortly be launching a new Tafelmusik blog, the aim of which is to bring the world of the Orchestra (and indeed the office!) a little closer to our fans – both current and potential. We’ll feature behind-the-scenes articles, photo galleries, tour reports, some insight into what goes into putting a concert on, as well as extra info and background on the composers and music featured in our concerts.
We’re almost ready to go with the blog but there’s just one problem. It needs a name.
Now of course we could just call it the Tafelmusik Blog. But that would be a trifle lazy and wouldn’t really live up to our reputation for innovation. So we’re on the hunt for a name. Ideally it’ll be something memorable, different, quirky, perhaps surprising. Something that will grab the interest of someone with just a passing interest in classical music, as well as appealing to a super fan of Tafelmusik.
After much caffeine and debate we have arrived at a short list, but we still have too many options. So, we are involving you by putting out our shortlist to the public vote.
Simply pick your favourite from the list below – voting will close at Noon on Monday 21 December and we’ll announce the winner shortly after.
P.S. For the record, I’m still sad that 50 Shades of Baroque didn’t make it to the shortlist…
