After moving to Toronto to study voice and music cognition at the University of Toronto, soprano Meghan Moore became enchanted with singing baroque music, first as a member of the Ontario Youth Choir, conducted by Ivars Taurins in 2000, and then through her participation in the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute. She is delighted to join the Tafelmusik Choir in her fifteenth full season. Although she has an admitted soft-spot for early music projects, singing with The Toronto Consort and Opera Atelier, she likes to round out her choral experiences, performing contemporary repertoire with Soundstreams’ Choir 21. She can be heard on the soundtracks of The Tudors and Borgias TV series, and has performed with Exultate Chamber Singers, Elora Festival Singers, Arbor Oak Trio, Elmer Iseler Singers, Aradia Ensemble, and St. Thomas’s Anglican Church Choir. In her non-musical life, Meghan is the CEO of the Loran Scholars Foundation which grants Canada’s largest and most comprehensive undergraduate awards.
