Mezzo-soprano Jessica Wright has been featured as a soloist with The Toronto Consort, Theatre of Early Music, Toronto Masque Theatre, The Toronto Bach Festival, and The Elora Festival. As a chorister, Jessica sings regularly with many professional choirs, including The Elora Singers, Choir 21, and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Career highlights include performances of Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine with The Toronto Consort, premiering and recording Canadian composer Barbara Assiginaak’s Giishkaapkag (Where the Rock is Cut Through) with The Elora Singers, as well as the Canadian premiere of Sir James MacMillan’s Seven Last Words from the Cross with Soundstreams under the composer’s direction. By day, Jessica is an arts administrator and currently works at The Glenn Gould School in Toronto, Canada.
