Advanced Certificate in
Performance (Baroque Option)

The Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto, in collaboration with the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, offers a one-year programme of intensive immersion in baroque performance on period instruments, leading to an Advanced Certificate in Performance (ACP). The programme includes:

private lessons with Tafelmusik musicians
a solo recital
a relevant music history course
chamber ensemble: weekly coaching and an end-of-year recital
an opportunity to rehearse and perform with Tafelmusik in an orchestral setting
an independent research project
attendance at Tafelmusik rehearsals and concerts

This programme is offered exclusively for performers on period instruments. Instruments offered are oboe, bassoon, strings and harpsichord.

The ACP application period is now closed.
Auditions take place in March/April 2012.
