Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir announces finalists for the inaugural Tafelmusik Vocal Competition.

“As an established ensemble with a large and enthusiastic audience, Tafelmusik is in an excellent position to nurture and boost the careers of the next generation of historically-informed vocal soloists. I am very happy that the Tafelmusik Vocal Competition will join our existing artist training programmes to identify rising stars, and bring them to our stage.” - Chief Artistic Advisor Jeanne Lamon

Save the date! Be sure to join us Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 1:00 pm to hear the brilliant young singers selected for the final round of Tafelmusik’s inaugural Vocal Competition. They will display their artistry in a free public recital at Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre, Jeanne Lamon Hall.

They join us on January 16 to sing an array of baroque arias by Handel, Bach, and Zelenka, accompanied by Christopher Bagan on harpsichord and organ. It promises to be a delightful afternoon of wonderful singing.
