Tafelmusik offers several interactive ways of exploring the music we perform. Come discover something new and see where the music can take you.
Explore the finer points of the evening's performance with the musicians themselves. Every Wednesday concert starts early (7:00 pm) to leave time afterwards for an informal discussion with our musicians and guest artists. This is an excellent opportunity to have your questions answered while they are fresh in your mind, and promote discussion around arts and culture.
Enjoy a free public lecture by Dr. Anthony Dawson before each of our Beethoven Symphonies 7 & 8 concerts, March 27 - 29 from 7:00pm to 7:25pm (concert at 8:00pm) at Trinity-St. Paul's Centre (427 Bloor Street West). Lectures are free, but please call the box office at 416-964-6337 for concert tickets.
Tafelmusik members are invited to attend pre-concert lectures. These half-hour lectures are led by Tafelmusik musicians, guest artists, historians, critics and enthusiasts. The lectures offer an excellent opportunity to delve into the life and times of composers and their music, giving the audience the opportunity to enjoy the performance with new insight.
