Tafelmusik’s education concerts return for the 2025/2026 season!

We invite you and your students to join Tafelmusik for another season of FREE educational offerings!

On April 22 and 23, 2026, come and enjoy the Tafelmusik classic, The Quest for Arundo Donax, created, scripted and programmed by Alison Mackay. The Quest for Arundo Donax weaves an enchanting story of adventure and intrigue – set in 1704 during the War of Spanish Succession – with a captivating collection of works by baroque composers Purcell, Vivaldi and Marais. Animated by actor/narrator Blair Williams (Shaw Festival, PAW Patrol), The Quest for Arundo Donax offers students an engaging and unique experience of music, history and storytelling covering curriculum links to C1. Creating and Performing, C2. Reflecting, Responding, and Analyzing, and C3 Exploring Forms and Cultural Contexts. In-class resources are available and are offered to anyone who is interested.

This program is targeted toward students Grade 3-6, but is suitable for students slightly younger or older depending on your needs.

Please reserve your seats early as space is limited! It is as easy as clicking on the link and signing up here.

The Quest for Arundo Donax will be presented on April 22 and 23, 2026, at Trinity St. Paul’s Centre, 427 Bloor Street W in Toronto. As a special concert bonus or a standalone activity, we are launching in-class visits from our musicians – to reinforce curriculum linkages. If your school or class is interested in a musician in-class visit, please email Tafelmusik Education Coordinator Sarah Belle Walsh at swalsh@tafelmusik.org for more information.

Tafelmusik is excited to welcome you to our upcoming educational programming season! We hope you will join us.
