“Haydn alone has the secret of both making me smile and of touching my innermost soul.” W. A. Mozart

Haydn’s genius as a composer inspired generations of musicians – including Mozart and Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges. In anticipation of the Haydn bicentennial in 2009, we honour the music of these three brilliant classical composers. Enjoy Haydn's elegant Concerto for Violoncello in C Major with Tafelmusik principal cellist Christina Mahler, Mozart's cheerful Symphony No. 29 in A Major, K. 201, and an exciting sinfonia concertante by Saint-Georges featuring violinists Aisslinn Nosky and Julia Wedman.
