Haydn’s joyful oratorio is vividly evocative of every moment in creation: shining rays of sunlight breaking the darkness of chaos; jewelled meadows and murmuring streams; leaping tigers and cooing turtle doves. Our performances are part of the World Creation Project – choirs and orchestras all around the globe will perform The Creation on May 31, 2009 in honour of the 200th anniversary of Haydn’s death. Featuring the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir and Orchestra, and a superb cast of soloists: Sibylla Rubens, soprano; Jan Kobow, tenor; and Locky Chung, baritone.  Sung in German.
