Join us for a meditation on a cold winter night, as Tafelmusik performs nine of Biber’s fifteen sonatas based on the Mystery of the Life of Christ. Some of the most poignant music ever written for violin, these virtuosic sonatas challenge violinists to produce the fluttering of an angel’s wings and the brightness of the Easter morning sun. Tafelmusik violinists Christopher Verrette, Julia Wedman and Aisslinn Nosky will touch you with these absolute masterpieces, accompanied by organ, lute and cello.
