While Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra tours Asia, enjoy a stunning Opera Atelier production – Monteverdi’s dramatic masterpiece The Return of Ulysses. Opera Atelier joins forces with The Toronto Consort in presenting the Toronto stage premiere of one of Monteverdi’s last great operas. Telling the story of Ulysses’ return from the Trojan War and his reunion with Penelope after a 20-year absence, this deeply moving opera features Olivier Laquerre as Ulysses, Stephanie Novacek as Penelope, and Artists of Atelier Ballet under the baton of David Fallis.
