Twenty-first century Toronto is a crossroads of the globe, a meeting place of many cultures. The land on which our city is built, itself a sacred space to our founding First Nations, is enriched by a collection of magnificent buildings which embody the cultural history of many faith traditions. Building on the success of the 2005 METAMORPHOSIS festival, the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and the Toronto Consort are collaborating with the City of Toronto's Doors Open Toronto to bring artists of different cultures together in spaces which are of spiritual significance to the people of Toronto.
On May 24th and 25th, during Doors Open Toronto 2008, about 15 buildings will be animated with special performances by musicians from many cultures. There will also be opportunities to hear Tafelmusik musicians giving twenty-minute performances in beautiful and unusual settings. These events are absolutely free - maybe you can plan a circuit to hear all of them!

Free and general admission to all concerts:
Admission to Delightfully Baroque, Musical Interlude, and The TBSI Orchestra and Choir is first-come, first-served. No tickets required. Doors open 15 minutes before all concerts.
*Tickets for The Grand Finale must be obtained in advance and will be available to the public on Thursday, June 5 starting at 10am IN PERSON ONLY, at the Tafelmusik Box Office at 427 Bloor Street West. Maximum of 2 tickets per person. (Note: all tickets were given away within minutes last year!)
