Thomson, one of Canada’s foremost actors.Tafelmusik explores the music of the King’s Royal Haymarket Orchestra with the guidance of retired oboist, Mr. Richard Neale, died 1759. Neale played for them all: Handel, Galliard, Sammartini, Bononcini and Pepusch. Together with members of the Tafelmusik orchestra, under the direction of Jeanne Lamon, he relives the glory of baroque London through his personal musical triumphs, the perils and joys of his instrument and the genius of Handel. Music as it was never heard before, from behind the music stand of a forgotten 18th century oboist.
