The Battle for Good Taste

Think you know everything about baroque music? Delve a little deeper into baroque music with this special series moderated by BBC Radio host and musicologist Dr. Hannah French, with violinist Christopher Verrette.

The desire to possess good taste in music was a very eighteenth-century preoccupation. At the centre of it was an ongoing battle between two nations: the French and the Italians. In this listening club, hear the argument from both sides and join the debate! It might just change the way you hear Tafelmusik’s performances of composers from across Europe.
