“Tafelmusik owns this town when it comes to Handel’s seasonal classic.” – The Globe and Mail

Tafelmusik’s original Messiah returns this December for four uplifting performances in the stunning surroundings of Koerner Hall. A cherished holiday tradition in Toronto since 1981, Tafelmusik’s Messiah is conducted by Ivars Taurins, who “pulls out of the score… every moment of drama and beauty hidden within” (The Globe and Mail).

Bring your whole family, and revel in Handel’s original orchestration, the glory of the Hallelujah chorus, and the brilliant singing of the renowned Tafelmusik Chamber Choir.

This season’s soloists include soprano Amanda Forsythe and mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó (making their Tafelmusik debuts) and Tafelmusik favourites Colin Balzer, tenor, and Tyler Duncan, baritone.

Featured soloists:

Amanda Forsythe, soprano
Krisztina SzabĂł, mezzo-soprano
Colin Balzer, tenor
Tyler Duncan, baritone
