Series 1, 8

The city of Paris was home to some remarkable baroque composers who developed a style that was uniquely French. Savour the colourful L’Apothéose de Corelli by Couperin, the whimsical Pièces de clavecin en concert by Rameau, featuring Charlotte Nediger on harpsichord, and the beguiling sounds of Marais’ viola da gamba. A concert of music that is as alluring as the city that inspired it.

These intimate, hour-long concerts, presented in an informal style with introductions from the musicians. Explore new aspects of Tafelmusik repertoire with an up close and personal encounter with the music.
