Tenor Will Johnson first sang for Ivars Taurins as a member of the Ontario Youth Choir in 2000. After representing Ontario at the National Youth Choir of Canada in Edmonton, he continued his choral travels representing Canada in America, Belgium, Italy and Venezuela with the World Youth Choir. He has since performed with the Festival Choir in Stuttgart under the direction of Helmuth Rilling, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, Elora Festival Singers, Aradia Ensemble and Opera Atelier. Will earned an Honours Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto in Voice Performance and is thrilled to return to the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir after a five year hiatus. When he's not singing, he works as a Systems Administrator during the day and teaches rock climbing at Joe Rockhead's Indoor Climbing Gym in the evenings and on weekends.
